So on Sunday, myself and mum went down to London to attend an exciting event. The brilliant Department of Ability comic was launched at an amazing Superhero party at Hamleys in London, with the support of Strongbones charity. If you read my previous blog you will know all about the Department of Ability! It is a comic book which features a team of 'extra ordinary superheroes, each using their disabilities as their super power to save the world!'
The Creator of the DOA...
Daniel White created the Department of Ability, inspired by his daughter Emily. In the comic, Emily is the leader of the DOA, equipped with a 'multi-functional airborne wheelchair, Emily stands for truth and justice'.
Having discovered Dan and the DOA online, we have been chatting for over a year but we finally met in person on Sunday!
He has had great success with the DOA so far, appearing on itv news and the Saturday show and many more radio/ tv interviews to share his vision.
It is great to find someone with the same dream as me, to ensure children with disabilities are represented in tv, books and comics! His support for me has been amazing and his success inspires me to continue fighting to get my books out there!

At the party...
There was such an amazing atmosphere with DOA and Strongbones superheroes enjoying themselves! There were stilt walkers, jugglers and acrobats plus many more! The smiles on the faces of these amazing little superheroes was lovely to see! I want to thank Daniel white, the DOA and Strongbones for inviting us! And Daniel, Emily and Aimee for their continued support with Mr Millets Farm!
